I would NEVER move my family to live on illegally occupied land in Palestine, and even if I were to move my family to Israel proper (no chance of that – I’m an American and I have a responsibility to give back to this country), I wouldn’t ever consider it until Israel and Palestine have a just and legal peace between them. The fact that Khattab/Cohen actually moved his family to GAZA shows that he is at best naive, and at worst completely unable to understand when he is putting himself and his family into dangerous situations. This guy is one of the few real geniune SELF HATING JEWS I have ever encountered. Usually that term is used prejoritively by right-wingers for Jewish people who criticize Israel. It’s obviously that this guy is a bigot against Jewish people. Fer crissakes, this guy was a Satmar – they already hate non-fundementalist Jews! So it wasn’t hard for him to turn to hating all Jews. Finally, this isn’t an interview – it’s just cut and pasted from his blog. Five years from now I predict this guy will be calling himself either a Maoist, a Hindu nationalist, or will be back to Judiasm is trying to volunteer for the IDF.

He went from one intolerant fundamentalist strain of one religion to another, that’s all. This guy would be an asshole whether he became a Buddhist, a Hindu, or a Morman (or a Communist for that matter – same fundamentalism, just replace God with Lenin).

Whatever sins one might have done are nothing compared to Allah’s encompassing mercy. The door to repentance is wide open, and having changed one’s life around for the better then Allah will certainly shower His sinful servants who turn penitent to Him, with His Forgiveness. It is one of the basic principles of belief in Islam that Allah is All-Relenting, All-Forgiving and All-Merciful. So for sister Sara to look forward, with absolute hope in the overflowing mercy of Allah, then rest assured that as long as you are true with Allah, He will be very kind with you, for surely He is full of love, especially to His penitent servants. May Allah guide you to the straight path and direct you to that which pleases Him, Ameen.

thank you for posting this. I think it is very true. I am a teen, but I am learning to accept life’s challenges bit by bit, and after reading this post, it seems much easier. It also makes more sense to me on why we have to face them

I knew an Australian woman like that a long time ago – she was a ‘Chinese communist ‘ ( Russian communist wasn’t cool enough )
She was ‘the first person in her university to go out with a black guy ‘
EVERYTHING she did was done to show herself off – in fact , she was a nasty piece of work , of quite low intelligence and didn’t care for anyone but herself .
