Ok so my dear sister Lena wondered what was the most romantic thing I had done for anyone and I decided to just make a small post out of it. In my case most of my romance remains within me because I never had the right opportunity or the right person to express it to because they either did not deserve my romance, or they could care less for romance and the likes.
Romantic things I have done:
(1) I am usually quiet and reserved but one thing that really invokes a lot of feelings in me is a woman’s tears. Needless to say I don’t appreciate crocodile tears. But to me, wiping someone’s tears and consoling them until they are all smiles is a very noble and romantic thing to do.
(2) Every now and then I would cook her favorite dish for her and become her personal chef and waiter. Her smile was reward enough.
(3) Had a few drinks (non-alcoholic of course!) at a lounge 96 floors above Chicago at night taking in the beautiful scene. There is something about taking in a beautiful view together.
(4) Fireworks. This was when I was a young casanova (11 years old lol) and my then crush and I experienced fireworks for the first time, holding hands with her head on my chest. Ah young love.
(5) Buying gifts from her favorite store – clothes and facial/body products – this works better than flowers guys
Romantic things done for me:
(1) Holding my hand the girl says, “I can just sit here and watch the ceiling with you all life long”
(2) Came home to find dozens of red rose petals laid out on my bed spelling out, “I love you Mushir”
(3) Came home to my favorite dinner and was served like a prince.
(4) Blanket made for me from scratch.
(5) And yes, last but not least, the most beautiful love poem written to me with her heart poured out .
WOW!!!
You truly deserve the SSF most romantic award!!
Insh’Allah you will find someone who you can share all these things with and who will appreciate every bit of it.
I loved this post, thanks so much for answering the question in such detail.
P.S. I like the new layout.

Can you do private posts on muslimmatters? I thought they were on view for all?
And you know I can’t help but tease!
Just curious, why would you find her holding your hand and asking to see the ceiling be romantic? Dont you mean the sky or are you partial to ceilings more? :p

Hmm, I’m a little lost as to what my blog or my post has to do with muslimmaters.
Also, the whole ceiling thing was the fact that the girl could care less if I took her out to dinner, or movies or anything and was happy just to be in my company even if we stayed home and did nothing

Ah….Ignore my last point! The layout of your blog is the same as Muslim Matters so I got confused :p I thought they had set up the facility whereby you can host your own blog at their domain.
Ignore me!
