My very first tag ever … thanks to Sumera
I will try not to sound too lame!
1) I am usually a very entertaining person so I end up using “mm hmm” a lot in the way the African American ladies say it here in the US. You would have to hear it to know what I am talking about.2) I am not too fond of cliches. It bothers me because I perceive that as someone too lazy to put things into his/her own words or someone who is just not interested in talking to you. So needless to say, I stay painfully away from cliches and express everything in my own beautiful way.
3) When I am with someone who loves to talk a lot, I end up saying “R-I-G-H-T” a lot just so show that I agree with them and am following them, when the fact is I haven’t heard a word they said. Hilarious eh
4) When I totally agree with someone on a point I get quite excited that someone sees things they way I do and I emphatically say “Absolutely“
5) Another thing I cannot stand is people who talk in the following manner, “OMG like no way“. I tend to stop associating with people who talk like this.
Speech should be eloquent. You should be able to capture your audience and make them hang on to your every word.
Who do I tag? I tag anyone on my blogroll who reads this who hasn’t already done this.
:O
I use the word “like” alllllll the time! Like, always! Will you stop associating with me now?!
Hehe…

I walked into that one didn’t I!
Sister AnonyMouse the kind of women I am talking about are the kind featured in movies like “Clueless”. Some women think it is actually cool to try and put up that act. I am quite sure you are not even close to using your “likes” in that fashion.
No hard feelings dear sister!

Pretty interesting presonality you have got. On another note, I am still not very sure about this ‘tagging’ business. Why does one get tagged and what does one do after getting tagged?
Jazak Allah!

Sheepoo,
Tagging is just something women tend to do a lot in the blogging world. I haven’t seen men do a lot of tagging. Not that there is anything wrong with that. It just says that women like to keep things interesting while men just do more mundane things hehe.
Anyway, tagging is like the old game you may or may not have played when you were a child where you run after someone and as soon as you touch them, they have to run after you or someone else and touch them. You have to ‘tag’ someone else as long as you have been tagged.
In the blogging world, somebody starts with a bunch of questions and answers them, and then they pass that along to one or more of their friends. Their friends answer the questions respectively and tag others. Just an interesting game and an interesting way to get to know each other better.

You should be able to capture your audience and make them fall in love with you or what you have to say.
Is there any subject where love doesn’t play a part, for you?

P.S. i’ve just decided to tag you with the latest craze of seven random facts. We need more guys in on this thing, apparently.

No…love is a big part of who I am
. On a daily basis, I interact with co-workers, friends, uncles and aunts, and the smile on my face never weakens. People love to be in my company and vice versa. Ain’t nothing wrong with that dear iMuslim is there!
And love comes in many forms, not just between a husband and wife, I am just talking about general love/fondness for people. Hmph. lol.

btw iMuslim, I have scratched my head for months now…but what in the world is a “meme” and how is it pronounced – me me? or maymay?

No. I’m the same. I like to make people comfortable in my presence, even if it means i have to make fun of myself.
And love comes in many forms, not just between a husband and wife, I am just talking about general love/fondness for people.
I’m actually a little annoyed with the English language in this respect. Why is there only one word for love, when there are so many different kinds?! You have to use qualifiers like “parental”, “platonic” etc… anyway, just a random rant.
but what in the world is a “meme” and how is it pronounced
Well… i could give you the link of a Wiki article that explains it all… but it ended up giving another blogger a headache, so it’s up to you if you wanna risk it!
Here is a brief explanation that i offered her:

Ok, Askimet is being a pain the be-hind these days… it swallowed my comment! You’ll need to dig it out.

Yes I did read that same explanation on wiki a while ago, and it gave me a headache too and left me more confused. I’ll just consider a meme another word for a tag
.

Sumera…I have never come across a tag started by a man. Please point me to one! And besides I wasn’t saying its a bad thing, I was actually praising the women
.
Whats your favorite cliche btw?

I have never come across a tag started by a man.
I only know the origins of two tags… one is the favourite word tag, which was hema’s invention. The second is the slowly expanding handwriting tag, which was kinda a mixed affair… Organic started it, but not as a tag. Unique was inspired, and copied her, again, not as a tag… I copied Unique, and told everyone else to do it. So it was Organic’s idea, but i was the pusher who made it a tag… {evil laugh}
But there are many, many tags all over the place… no idea who started them! Could’ve been guys.

My favourite cliche? Dont have one really – but I use them all! “Grass is greener on the other side” “You dont know what you’ve got til its gone” and on and on I go

LOL you cliche-lover u.
The cliches that really annoy me is when they use baseball or cricket references. Thats a huge no-no with me.
Examples:
“Step up to the plate”
“The boss threw a curve ball at me in the meeting”
“Don’t throw googlies at me yaar”
UGh…lol
Also I don’t like love cliches:
“Its not you its me!”
“Distance makes the heart grow fonder”
etc etc

“Distance makes the heart grow fonder”
WHOOPS. I just used that one today (although i actually said “absence” rather than “distance”).
